Daisy Roots Shoes
I was contacted a few weeks ago by Daisy Roots and asked if I’d like to review a pair of their beautiful handmade leather shoes. I love supporting British companies so I was very excited when I discovered that Daisy Roots have been making shoes in Northamptonshire since 1995.
After visiting their lovely website my mind was full of delightful little leather shoes and the next step was to make a decision as to which pair I’d like to review. The following morning when Imogen asked for an apple I had my mind made up! I chose a pair of beautifully rich purple leather shoes with green apples and flowers on the front.
Imogen loves her new Daisy Roots leather shoes. They keep her feet cosy and warm on our wooden floors and stop her from slipping when she’s running around and playing. For an active toddler they’re the perfect indoor shoe!
What I love most about Daisy Roots shoes:
- They have suede anti-slip soles
- There’s room for growth
- They’re made from soft, breathable leather
- They fit perfectly around the ankle and are extremely soft
- They’re made from eco-friendly leather and are chrome free
- They’re vegetable dyed so are safe for babies who like to chew everything
They look gorgeous when worn with tights or trousers.
Daisy Roots make leather shoes for babies and toddlers in a variety of sizes from newborn to 4 years old. They’re recommended for indoor and pram use and can be cleaned easily with a damp cloth.
I think they’d make the perfect gift for a baby or child and there’s the option to have your shoes packaged in a gift box. Daisy Roots provide free delivery within the UK.
You can find out more about these beautiful leather shoes for babies and children at Daisy Roots and on Facebook.

The Baby Style Guide to Wearing Sunglasses
Baby sunglasses are just so darn cute and handy for keeping harmful UV rays away from baby’s eyes. I bought Imogen’s sunglasses from John Lewis for our holiday in New Zealand. They’re pink and green with little roses on the frame and have category 3 lenses.
Imogen’s been wearing her sunglasses a lot over the past few weeks and has created the Baby Style Guide to Wearing Sunglasses.
1. When you’re learning to wear sunglasses it doesn’t matter if you put them on upside down or askew. So long as you put them on all by yourself and smile.
2. Watch grown ups. Copy how they keep their sunglasses from slipping down their nose.
3. Point to whatever you like in amazement. No one can see where you’re really looking.
4. If in doubt, use all fingers to get your sunglasses in exactly the right place.
