Kidstoria Personalised Children’s Books

| September 16, 2013

The lovely team at Kidstoria contacted me to see if I would like a personalised book for Imogen. It was the first time I had come across the idea of a personalised book for children. I have discovered it is a wonderful way to create a fun learning experience as well as being a precious keepsake.

The personalised book for Imogen where she is the main character of her very own story.

You have the choice of four different story options for your child’s book. These can be previewed on the Kidstoria website so you know exactly what the story entails. Each story is suitable for boys and girls and is customised with your child’s name and face.

Imogen reads ‘Imogen and the Picnic’ for the very first time. At first she is slightly surprised to see herself as a character in the story! It’s not long before she starts talking about Teddy who is sharing the picnic with her and what they are eating together.

Imogen points out small details and talks about the characters in the illustrated pictures.

Daddy reads the story with Imogen as she explains what she is doing in the story with Teddy. This is a fabulous way to encourage the great imaginations of little ones.

As well as books, Kidstoria also create personalised cards for babies and children.

#KidsGrowWild Challenge

| June 21, 2013

Despite living in central London we always find creative and versatile ways to use our green fingers. This summer we decided to grow our very own city flower garden for our balcony. We linked up with the fun #KidsGrowWild Challenge and were sent a lovely Little Pals Garden Kit.

The Little Pals Garden Kit is brightly coloured and comes with all the essentials for gardening. We received a handy gardening bag with built-in storage space for the hand trowel, hand fork, gardening gloves, watering can and sachets of flower seeds.

Imogen gets the pots ready for planting with a bag of soil and her Little Pals hand trowel.

We helped Imogen put the bright blue gardening gloves on which she loved.

With the help of Daddy the soil is added to the pots and the flower seeds are planted.

Finally Imogen carefully waters the seeds using the Little Pals watering can.

And now we patiently await the germination of the flower seeds and for little green shoots to sprout through the soil. A little sunshine will greatly help!

Winnie the Pooh Soft Toy Review

| June 9, 2013

The lovely people at the Disney Store sent us a Winnie the Pooh soft toy for review a few weeks ago. When I first showed Winnie the Pooh to Imogen there was a beautiful smile on her face and outstretched arms wanting to play with him.

winnie the pooh

Winnie the Pooh has firmly become one of Imogen’s favourite toys and is regularly taken to the park to play. He is the perfect size to accompany a toddler and is easy to carry.

This super soft Winnie the Pooh toy is bright and cuddly. He wears a red t-shirt with the name Pooh embroidered on the front and has the classic and endearing Pooh expression.

winnie the pooh review

Winnie the Pooh is 27 cm tall and made from super soft fleece with a partial bean bag filling. He is naturally in a seated position and I often find Imogen and Winnie the Pooh sharing a picnic with pretend cakes and cups of tea.

Winnie the Pooh has become part of the family and is a much loved soft toy.
