Baby Wellies
We’re relishing the rain and playing stomp stomp stomp in all the puddles with Imogen!
The bigger the puddle, the bigger the splash, the better the game.
Imogen’s shoes and socks were getting soaked with her new found love of puddle splashing.
It was time to find a pair of baby wellies! Oh my, they’re so cute!
We’re on holiday in Suffolk at the moment and found a Joules clothing store in Aldeburgh.
The wellies were disappearing fast, with children running around the shop in their new footwear.
There was one pair of baby wellies left in Imogen’s size, but they were baby boy wellies.
It’s good we’re not fussy parents, practicalities such a dry feet come first!
You wouldn’t know they were boy baby wellies.
Colours of blue, teal and white with pictures of circus elephants, monkeys, clowns and seals adorn the boots. There’s a bright yellow stripe down the back of the boot and a reflective top, perfect for safe playing in the puddles when it’s grey outside.
And it’s just started raining, more fresh puddles for this afternoon…
Brio Duck Review
We have been lucky enough to receive a beautiful wooden Brio Duck to review from Hello Baby Direct.
My baby, Imogen, has always loved ducks.
One of the first baby signs she made was the quack quack sign when she saw a duck in the local pond.
Since then we’ve bought story books with bright yellow duck characters and rubber ducks for playing in the bath.
But we’ve never had a duck toy until the pull along Brio Duck.
Imogen’s face lit up the moment she saw the box with the photographs of the yellow, white and red duck on the sides. She knew what was hiding in that box!
And when it came out of the box there were squeals of excitement as we pulled the Brio Duck along our wooden floor and it shook it’s head from side to side and flapped it’s yellow wings.
Playing with the Brio Duck has really helped Imogen in the early stages of learning to walk, promoting balance and motor skills.
At 15 months Imogen is now very stable on her feet and running around, with the Brio Duck never far behind, quacking at the pleasure of being such a loved toy.
As with all Brio wooden toys, this is a quality toy that will last the test of time and is beautifully crafted.
