Organic Babies Mum and Baby Rescue Balm

| March 27, 2012

Green People kindly sent a sample of Organic Babies Mum and Baby Rescue Balm for my baby and I to try. We’ve been using this balm for 2 weeks now with excellent results.

In cold weather I develop eczema on my hands which leads to very dry and itchy, red skin. I’ve been massaging Mum and Baby Rescue Balm on my hands every evening before bed and found in 3 days my skin was feeling less dry and itchy and my hands looked smoother. My eczema has now cleared up on my hands and I have soft skin again which I’m very happy about!

My baby’s knees have been rough and red since she started crawling. I’ve found rubbing a little Mum and Baby Rescue Balm on her knees after her bath has soothed her skin and softened the rough patches. She also suffers from eczema occasionally in the folds of her skin so I’ve been using this balm sparingly around her chin, on her elbows and in the creases of her legs. It’s kept her skin well moisturised and has helped to prevent dry skin which can lead to eczema.

As the weather’s getting warmer I’ve started using Organic Babies Mum and Baby Rescue Balm on my elbows and heels to moisturise my skin which has become dry over the winter. I’ve discovered it’s also lovely used as a lip balm!

Instead of carrying several items in your baby changing bag you only need to take Organic Babies Mum and Baby Rescue Balm for both you and your baby!

Mum & Baby Rescue Balm is great if you’re pregnant as it can be used for perineum massage prior to giving birth to help prevent tearing. And for nursing mothers it’s safe to use on sore nipples before, during and after breastfeeding.

This amazing balm contains 95.9% certified organic ingredients and is made from the key ingredients of Hemp, Shea Butter and Calendula to moisturise and soften skin.

What I love most about this balm is that it’s gentle enough for both myself and my baby to use and is free from Parabens, Lanolin, phthalates, artificial perfumes, petrochemicals and colourants.

There’s a great range of Green People Organic Babies and Children Products for all your baby needs including bath products, nappy cream, sunscreen, toothpaste, shampoo, massage oil, moisturiser and lotions.

Organic Babies Mum and Baby Rescue Balm 100ml is available from Green People RRP £9.70.

The Best Cot Bed

| March 18, 2012

Your baby will probably sleep in a moses basket until they are around 6 months old when they will be starting to out grow the moses basket and need a larger area to sleep in. If your baby is able to rollover a moses basket certainly won’t leave much room for their new sleeping positions!

When we were setting up our baby’s nursery we purchased the East Coast Country Cot Bed.

After looking at many other cot beds I know we made the right decision with this one and it looks truly gorgeous in our baby’s nursery.

This is the best cot bed for quality, style, price and it’s suitable from birth to approximately 6 years.

The East Coast Country Cot Bed is a quality cot bed in a classic style cot that will suit any nursery. It looks beautiful as a cot bed and when it’s converted into a starter bed with lovely curved head and foot boards.

The East Coast Country Cot Bed has a refined and classic appearance with beautifully curved top rails. It has a soft look to compliment any nursery.

Features of the East Coast Country Cot Bed:

  • 3 mattress base heights – as your baby grows and is able to sit up, kneel and stand you can adjust the height of the cot bed to create a safe sleeping place for your baby
  • 2 fixed sides
  • 2 split ends to convert to bed mode
  • The sides of the cot have protective teething rails
  • Crafted from pine
  • Available in an antique or white finish
  • Suitable from birth to approximately 18 months as a cot bed
  • Suitable from 18 months to 6 years as a starter bed
  • Cot bed dimensions length 145 cm x width 77 cm x height 101 cm
  • Conforms to BSEN 716

The East Coast Country Cot Bed requires a cot bed mattress measuring 140 cm x 70 cm.

I recommend the John Lewis Spring Cotbed Mattress L140 x W70cm for this cot bed.

And we love the Jolly Day Out cot bed fitted sheets by The Gro Company.

The Best Baby Changing Bag

| March 16, 2012

A changing bag is an absolute necessity when you have a baby.

Being able to easily carry nappies, wipes, nappy bags, bottles, formula, food, a change of clothes, hand sanitiser, pram blanket, a coat or cardigan in case the weather changes, sun hat, baby shoes…

I also use our changing bag to carry essentials for myself such as keys, phone, purse and lip gloss.

If you’re looking for the best baby changing bag, that’s functional and stylish you will find it with a Babymel Changing Bag.

BabyMel Big Slouchy Changing Bag

One of the best things about the Babymel Changing Bag is its unique and patent pending strollerstrap design which allows you to attach the changing bag to your pram or pushchair or buggy without it coming undone or slipping down the frame of the pram.

Babymel Changing Bags come with a matching changing mat which fits neatly in one of the interior pockets of the changing bag. There’s also an insulated bottle bag for keeping a bottle warm in winter or cool in summer, with interior or exterior pockets for carrying your baby’s bottles in.

I can’t go anywhere without my Babymel Changing Bag!
