St Paul’s Cathedral London

| October 31, 2012

We visited St Paul’s Cathedral in London this week and enjoyed the late autumn sun and crisp weather.

The new One New Change shopping mall on Cheapside has a great selection of shops and is open every day of the week. It’s an open shopping mall and we found the cool wind refreshing as we went from shop to shop. The mall faces out to St Paul’s Cathedral.

With Halloween just a week away I’ve found a few goodies if you’re looking for some quick, easy and spooky Halloween ideas to enjoy making with your children.

Here are some of the best free Halloween printables. Use them as spooky pictures to hang up or make Halloween cards with them. The collection has been compiled by Design Mom Gabrielle Blair and features this wonderful image by A Fanciful Twist. Or how about printing and making these black and orange Halloween Party Owl Invitations.

John Lewis have a great selection of children’s Halloween costumes and toys. For younger children I love the Face Paint Sticks. Suitable for children 3 years plus. Create your own Halloween faces!

For older children my favourite is this Mask Making Kit which makes at least 5 masks. Suitable for ages 7 years plus.

Holiday Memories from France

| October 20, 2012

Winter’s approaching so I’ve found some photos to share with plenty of sunshine. Just looking back over these photographs evokes happy memories of sunny days.

In May this year we spent a week’s holiday in Brittany, France. It’s one of our favourite holiday destinations.

What do I love about Brittany? The slower pace of life, the friendly people, the stunning scenery, the local markets, French wine and the focus that’s placed on the importance of family.

Here are some of the amazing memories we have of Brittany’s beautiful environment and the fun we had together as a family.
