Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor

If you’re looking for the Best Baby Video Monitor it’s the Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor. This is one of the best buys we have made as parents for our peace of mind and the safety of our baby.

The Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor enables us to see and hear our baby at any stage during the day or night when our baby is in her cot.

This monitor is portable so you can use it in different rooms around the house, depending on where baby is sleeping and it can easily be taken on holiday. We recently went on holiday to Brittany in France and took this monitor with us. The Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor comes with a changeable European adaptor plug and it worked perfectly in Europe.

There’s an extra large 9 cm (3.5 inch) colour display with black and white night vision so your baby can be in an absolutely dark room and you’ll still be able to see your baby on the monitor.

The Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor has an easy to use touch screen display with menu controls that enable you to adjust the direction of the monitor’s camera so you can angle it to see your baby in different positions, without going into your baby’s room. We’ve found this really useful as our baby’s just started to wriggle around and turn over onto her side!

You can also zoom in to see your baby closer up, simply by using the touch screen on the parent unit. The Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor is a small, sleek and stylish monitor with a lightweight design.

It has a docking station for easy charging, the temperature in your baby’s room is displayed on the screen and a one-touch power saver video on / off button with a docking station for easy charging.

The Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor can be used without the video screen as it displays LED sound lights (green, orange and red) to alert you to noises from your baby, with the option of just viewing the lights or seeing the lights and having the sound on so you can hear your baby at the same time.

You won’t go wrong with the Summer Infant Baby Touch Digital Video Monitor it really is the best baby monitor you can buy, giving you the ability to watch over your baby when you’re in another room. And I get to sleep peacefully each night knowing I can hear and see my baby at anytime without disturbing her precious slumber.

The Best Gina Ford Baby Book

| January 13, 2012

Here’s what I consider to be the best Gina Ford book The Contented Baby’s First Year as it doesn’t delve into routines!

It’s a really great book for understanding the mental and physical development of your baby during their first year.

Each chapter covers a month in your baby’s first year.

It clearly explains in text and photographs the development stages your baby will go through and how you can interact and encourage your baby through play.

Wonderful reading for new parents.

Weaning Your Baby

Annabel Karmel’s New Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner

Weaning is such an exciting time for you and your baby. I love the idea of my baby trying foods for the first time. It opens up a brand new world of texture, smell, colour and taste.

It can also be quite a nerve wracking time as you are responsible for feeding your baby the right range and quantity of nutrients for their optimal growth and development.

If you need some guidance on what to feed your baby you will find it all here in Annabel Karmel’s New Complete Baby and Toddler Meal Planner which is bright and colourful with over 200 varied and easy recipes for purees and baby meals.

These recipes help to ensure your baby is getting the right combination of nutrients, proteins, carbs and fats. This book has certainly helped to make my life as a Mummy easier!

When first weaning your baby it’s all about your baby trying foods and getting a taste for them, getting used to solids and swallowing food rather than milk. It’s not about eating specific amounts of food as your baby will still need milk for 100% of their nutrition in the early days of weaning.

I highly recommend the book Weaning by Annabel Karmelwhich is a very handy book providing advice on what, when and how to wean, as well as including meal planners for the different stages of progression onto solids.

Have fun with natural, organic foods for your baby even in the early stages, everything your baby eats contributes to their health and wellbeing. I highly recommend good nutrition from the first spoonful of food your baby tastes.

I love the Annabel Karmel Food Masher and Bowlwhich is great for mashing soft fruits and vegetables.

The bowl has inner ridges to help make mashing ever so quick and easy and the handle grip prevents slipping, as does the non-slip base on the bowl.

The Annabel Karmel Food Masher and Bowl is really convenient when you’re on the go or travelling, just pop in the soft fruit (some great fruits to try are banana, avocado, pear and peach) and cooked veg (you can try carrots, sweet potato, parsnip and swede) and you’ll have tasty and nutritious food for your baby in seconds.

And when weaning you will certainly need some good bibs for your baby so we’ve selected the best baby bibs – these are truly brilliant!
