Grobag Baby Sleep Bag Review
Last week we were sent a Grobag baby sleep bag to review by The Gro Company. Baby sleep bags have been made by The Gro Company since 2000 and today an astounding 95% of parents in the UK choose to use baby and toddler sleep bags for their little ones.
We received an all year round 2.5 tog sleep bag for toddlers aged 18 – 36 months old. With a 2.5 tog sleep bag it’s recommended that your baby’s nursery is between 16 to 20 degrees Celcius. The free nursery thermometer that comes with every Grobag has been helpful for keeping an eye on the temperature in Imogen’s nursery.
Imogen is tall for her age so I was really impressed with the length of the sleep bag we received. It’s suitable for a child up to a maximum length of 98 cm. There is also a good width on the sleep bag which allows Imogen to move freely in the sleep bag during her sleep and when she’s awake in her cot bed.
Imogen’s Grobag fastens at the front with a zip that has a thick cotton zip guard to ensure it never rubs on her skin. There’s a popper at the bottom of the Grobag to safely ‘lock’ the zip so a curious toddler can’t open their Grobag.
The design of Imogen’s Grobag is Treetop Tales. It’s a crisp white on the back of the sleep bag with colourful circles and friendly characters on the front including a giraffe, owl, snail and chick. It’s bright and cheerful with rich colours that will suit all nurseries.
Some of the unique features I love about the Grobag baby sleep bag:
- Imogen stays cosy and warm throughout the night so there’s no worrying about whether she’s too hot or cold
- There are no covers or blankets to kick off which gives us peace of mind during the night
- The Grobag opens easily for any night time nappy changes
- 100% cotton fabric is used for the outer and lining of the Grobag
- The Grobag allows Imogen to move freely during her sleep and when she’s awake and playing in her cot bed
Grobag baby sleep bags have won many awards over the years and the Mother and Baby Awards 2011/12 Gold Award for Best Nursery Product.
Grobag sleep bags come in a range of sizes from 0 – 6 months up to 6 – 10 years. There’s also a range of three tog ratings so you can ensure your child is in the right Grobag for the particular season and temperature of the room.

Planning a Summer Staycation?
Everyone will tell you that having a baby is life changing.
What also changes is the ability to easily, if at all, book a last minute break to Europe or beyond.
Since having our beautiful baby in March last year, we’ve decided to summer staycation for all but one of our holidays when we ventured to Brittany in France.
We’ve been pleasantly surprised at how easy and fun a staycation is compared with travelling overseas.
Now we look for a family friendly place to stay, open countryside to visit, local farm shops around the corner and all within relatively close proximity to London to ease the driving time for ourselves and baby. We often have family and friends join us when we staycation so being able to select a large self catering holiday home is essential.
There’s nothing better than hiring a cottage in the countryside where we know we will be guaranteed peace, tranquility and the joy of beaches, forests and bridal paths for walking and cycling on our doorstep.
We love being able to have a home away from home and enjoy the simple things in life, especially time together as a family outside our busy London life. We like to cook our own meals, have a BBQ in the garden and visit local pubs within walking distance of our holiday cottage.
We had our first holiday with our baby in Orford and it was truly wonderful. We’re back there soon for another summer staycation and we can’t wait!
Our favourite summer staycation destinations are Norfolk, Suffolk, Devon & Cornwall.
For a relaxing and family friendly summer staycation visit the vast Norfolk coastline and countryside on the East Coast. Norfolk Country Cottages offer a choice of over 400 self catering country cottages in a wide variety of settings.
There’s plenty of information on what to do and places to go at Visit Norfolk.

The Best Baby Sleeping Bag
If you’re like me, you’ll be extra vigilant at night time to ensure your baby isn’t too hot or too cold. All the do’s and don’ts when it comes to sleeping and adding or taking off additional blankets just leaves me confused and worrying if my baby’s the right temperature.
Luckily, there’s a solution. I’ve discovered the best baby sleeping bags so I can sleep peacefully at night!
I’d always visualised my baby wrapped in blankets when sleeping, but once my baby started to move around in her baby cot I knew it was time to use Baby Sleeping Bags to keep her warm at night and to prevent blankets from covering her head.
All I can say is thank goodness for Baby Sleeping Bags! I absolutely love these, I can sleep easy knowing my baby’s warm and the covers won’t go over her head or be kicked off during the night.
I’m a complete and utter convert and use the lighter weight 1.0 tog in summer. My baby has a winter weight sleeping bag (I use 2.5 tog for winter so my baby’s room temperature should still be between 16 – 20 degrees celcius) and a summer weight sleeping bag suitable for spring, summer and autumn.
