Autumn Leaves

| October 11, 2013

London is an amazing city to explore and have fun in with children. There are so many parks to visit, fantastic playgrounds, great soft play areas and wonderful museums.

But it really is the little things that can bring so much joy. The highlight of our outdoor adventures this week has been playing with and collecting the beautifully coloured autumn leaves that have fallen off the trees. Imogen finds a fountain to race them in!

Orford Quay

| September 20, 2013

Orford Quay in Suffolk is home to boats, birds, fish and the local fishermen who venture out each day to catch a variety of fresh seafood which is sold locally. We went for a morning walk and stopped by the water to see how far we could throw little stones in.

The tide was high and the water reached over the footpath that meandered around the shore so we played on the beach that we could access. Imogen throws pebbles in.

Imogen wanted to wear her water shoes so she could go for a swim. After some convincing and dipping her hands in the water even she conceded it was too cold!

Along the River Thames

| April 6, 2013

This week we ventured out along the River Thames with grey skies, wind and snow blizzards. Like everyone, we’re waiting patiently for some sunshine and warm weather which has been promised by the Met Office for the end of next week. But the cold hasn’t stopped us from enjoying our daily walks and outdoor adventures.

We met two beautiful horses from the Mounted Branch of the Metropolitan Police.

The grey skies looked spooky above us.
