Louis and Mia

| October 31, 2012

Louis and Mia are our beloved short haired black rescue cats from East London.

We re-homed them four years ago when they were around 18 weeks old from the Celia Hammond Animal Trust. They’d been left on the street in a cardboard box and were extremely timid and anxious.

With lots of time, patience and love they are now happy and boisterous cats who adore their food, cuddles and playing with toys. They’re simply adorable and Imogen loves playing with them. She calls them ‘Mi Mi’ and ‘Lou Lou’.

St Paul’s Cathedral London

We visited St Paul’s Cathedral in London this week and enjoyed the late autumn sun and crisp weather.

The new One New Change shopping mall on Cheapside has a great selection of shops and is open every day of the week. It’s an open shopping mall and we found the cool wind refreshing as we went from shop to shop. The mall faces out to St Paul’s Cathedral.

Christmas Shopping Already?

| October 29, 2012

shoesWe hit the shops this weekend to see Christmas trees dressed in lights and to browse all the pretty Christmas decorations that have started to adorn the shops.

I took the opportunity to step out in my favourite pumps by Gabor. It made a nice change after wearing boots almost daily since the start of autumn.

Living in London I expect the shops to have a constant stream of foot traffic but I was shocked by the number of Christmas shoppers. Rolls of Christmas wrapping paper were being snapped off the shelves.

I overheard conversations about the Christmas gifts people have already bought for their loved ones. I can’t stop thinking that it’s still October and there’s 8 weeks and 1 day until Christmas!

Some of the pretty Christmas Decorations we found at John Lewis.

Imogen needed a new pair of shoes and we found a beautiful pair of classically simple dark red leather shoes at Startrite.
