Just Sheepskin Slippers

| September 15, 2013

I treated myself to my first ever pair of Just Sheepskin slippers last week and oh my goodness! These are heaven for keeping my feet warm, snug and cosy.

Just Sheepskin slippers are made from 100% sheepskin with a slip resistant sole and keep your feet warm up to -32°C in winter and in summer keep your feet cool up to 25°C making them versatile for year round wear.

I chose the Ladies Lockwood Sheepskin Slippers. I like the style of these and find them quick and easy to slip on and off. The quality of these slippers is outstanding.

There’s also a range of slippers and boots for men, children, toddlers and some very cute baby sheepskin booties. Imogen is now asking me where her ‘furry’ slippers are, she is rather disappointed my slippers don’t fit her!

Playtime in Wood Wharf

| July 13, 2013

This week my wonderful friend Sonja and her beautiful daughter Keira spent the day with us in Wood Wharf London. The weather was stunning and we came prepared with picnic rugs, toys, balls, bubbles and food.

Sonja and I have known one another since we were both in the late stages of pregnancy when we met through our local antenatal classes run by the NCT. We still have a very close friendship with the girls in our NCT group and regularly meet up with our husbands, toddlers and new babies in tow.

I love the special friendship that has blossomed since birth between Imogen and Keira. They’re such good friends and always so excited to see one another and play!

Keira and Imogen wait patiently for the bubbles to be blown.

The bubbles float up into the air and they’re off to catch them …!

Then it’s time to play grab and run with the Elmer ball.

Sonja and I enjoy catching up in the sun while the girls giggle and run around and play. After a morning full of outdoor activity we share a picnic and Imogen feeds Keira raisins.

Fifteen minutes later Imogen is fast asleep in her buggy on the walk home!

Afternoon Tea with Annabel Karmel

| July 12, 2013

Last Saturday I was invited to attend the launch of Annabel Karmel’s new App Annabel’s Essential Guide to Feeding Your Baby & Toddler at the Apple iStore in Regent Street.

annabel karmel

The event was hosted by TV and radio presenter Jenni Falconer. Annabel talked about being a mother, coping with fussy eaters and how she began writing recipe books. Her career takes her all over the world as she continues to educate and encourage millions of parents on how to create simple and healthy meals for baby, toddler and child.

Annabel gave a demo of her new App which includes 200 healthy recipe ideas, handy meal planners that you can personalise to suit your family, a shopping list feature and videos showing how to prepare food. This App ensures you’ll never be stuck for ideas at mealtimes. There’s a handy section on Tips and Advice covering everything from foods for babies and toddlers to allergies and batch cooking.

Since Imogen was a baby I’ve read the range of Annabel Karmel Booksand found them helpful as easy reference guides to weaning and now for generating toddler meal ideas.

I met a wonderful group of bloggers at this event and after the launch we all sauntered in the London sun to 5th View in Piccadilly to have afternoon tea with Annabel Karmel and her lovely team.
