The Photo Gallery: Walks

| March 27, 2013

We adore walking and exploring the outdoors. Hubby and I have spent our 10 years together walking everywhere we can. We’ve been lucky enough to explore France, New Zealand, Spain, Portugal, Croatia, Denmark, Ireland, Scotland, England and Switzerland.

We had grand plans to continue walking and discovering the countryside when our baby arrived in 2011. We continued to get out and about and when she was a baby and we explored countryside lanes and forests with her strapped to one of us in the baby carrier.

When Imogen and I were in New Zealand at the beginning of this year we were absolutely spoilt for choice with beautiful walks in the bush at Kaitoke Regional Park, through Wellington’s Botanical Garden and along the Kapiti Coast.

We’ve had the most incredible and memorable time with Gran and Pa in New Zealand and enjoyed playtime in the park, picnics, eating ice cream, swimming in the pool, Wellington Botanical Garden, dressing up in fairy wings, days out in Wellington, splashing in the paddling pool, Birthday celebrations, walking in the bush, visits to Te Papa Museum, watering the garden and discovering wildlife, looking after Molly, eating outside, playing with Play Doh, seeing family and friends, playing in the garden, swimming in the sea, reading stories, paddling in rivers and days filled with fun, kisses and cuddles.

We returned home to London last night and Imogen is dearly missing her grandparents in New Zealand. Everyone we met on our journey home heard all about Gran and Pa, Imogen simply won’t stop talking about them. Daddy’s listening to stories of the adventures they had.

The distance between us makes it difficult to see one another regularly. As hard as it is being so far apart we have to look on the bright side and we’re already planning our next reunion.

Clarks Mara Sand GTX Boots

| December 10, 2012

For over a month I’ve been wearing a pair of Clarks Mara Sand GTX Boots. These gorgeous black leather Gore-tex boots were kindly sent to me by Clarks to review.

As a busy Mum I’m out and about daily with my baby so footwear has to look great, be practical and most importantly offer comfort.

Despite the weather I love walking and enjoying the great outdoors. For exercise and pleasure I walk everywhere in London with my baby in her buggy or toddling alongside me. For several hours each day we pound the pavements and run around the many parks and green spaces.

Clarks Mara Sand GTX Boots are styled on the classic long-leg riding boot. There’s subtle stitching on the boots and a simple buckle strap that can be adjusted at the top of the boots. The leather is soft and has a great shine.

One of the best features of the Clarks Mara Sand GTX Boots is that they’re 100% waterproof and breathable. Made with a Gore-tex membrane they prevent moisture from penetrating whilst letting perspiration out, allowing my feet to breathe and preventing them from overheating.

I’ve found this combination creates the perfect environment for maximum comfort and the right temperature whether I’m walking in a busy shopping mall or outdoors.

Clarks Mara Sand GTX Boots look great with trousers or skirts and can be dressed up or down making them extremely wearable for all occasions. They’re smart, stylish and incredibly comfortable.

Regardless of rain or snow this winter my feet will be kept dry and I’ll be enjoying all the elements. You can find out more about the technology used with Clarks Gore-tex waterproof shoes and boots.
