Sensory Play with Bubbles

| January 26, 2013

Playing with bubbles is a simple and exciting game for babies, toddlers and children that helps to develop awareness of their senses. I love this game because it combines sensory play and the great outdoors which are important learning experiences for little ones.

If you’re looking for ideas on sensory play with your baby or child head over to The Imagination Tree which is one of my favourite blogs and a great resource for parents.

Painting Fun

| December 22, 2012

I’m having great fun introducing my baby to painting. It’s just amazing to see how much enjoyment she has creating abstract art with the freedom of using paint and paintbrushes which make an exciting change from her usual crayons and pencils.

Painting

When Imogen discovered she could use Mummy’s paintbrush as well as her own, there was no going back. The joy of painting with a paintbrush in each hand simply means more painting fun.

We used John Lewis Chubby Brushes with John Lewis Finger Paints. I’ve found the John Lewis Chubby Brushes are perfect for little hands and the John Lewis Finger Paints wipe clean easily and washed out of Imogen’s clothes.

Looking for a laptop for your baby to keep yours free from dribble and sticky fingers?

Here are some of the best baby laptops for entertaining and educating baby with a variety of music, shapes, colours, numbers, sound effects and the alphabet.

Each baby laptop is suitable for different age groups to provide the right level of learning and play.

The LeapFrog My Talking LapPup is suitable for ages 6 to 18 months. It makes learning fun as the puppy’s face lights up and its mouth animates whilst singing and playing with your baby. It’s useful for on-the-go play and provides opportunities to explore shapes, counting, opposites and colours. Baby can lift and close the lid for an interactive game of peek-a-book with the puppy.
