Along the River Thames

| April 6, 2013

This week we ventured out along the River Thames with grey skies, wind and snow blizzards. Like everyone, we’re waiting patiently for some sunshine and warm weather which has been promised by the Met Office for the end of next week. But the cold hasn’t stopped us from enjoying our daily walks and outdoor adventures.

We met two beautiful horses from the Mounted Branch of the Metropolitan Police.

The grey skies looked spooky above us.

Viewing London City’s skyline as strong winds attempted to whisk Imogen’s hat away.

its so nice to see a city country kid post and to see such a stark contrast to the fields etc that i usually see. i think a city’s skyline is just a beautiful sight probably partly because i dont see one very often. lovely photos x

The wind must have been whistling down by the Thames! The sky certainly looks threatening but I am really hoping we have turned a corner now. Lovely to find you on the Coombe Mill Country Kids linky x

  4. i love seeing country kids in the city! Glad to hear you are able to brave the weather!

  5. Those horses are gorgeous aren’t they. Hubby works for Merseyside Police and the horses seem so big! Glad Imogen’s hat stayed put, I always get attacked by seagulls whenever we’ve visited London and walked along the Thames 😀

Oh wow, does your husband ride Police horses? They are so beautiful and well trained. Cyclists, cars and children run right by them and they don’t bat an eyelid! We meet plenty of seagulls on our walks but they haven’t come too close yet! 🙂

  6. As you say, you have to brave the weather and just get out and make the most of it and walking along the Thames is a great walk to do. Thanks for linking up to Country Kids.
